Lever avant 5h00 pour un départ à 5h30.
Montée de 2h45 au Gokyo Ri (5357m). Superbes vues mais pas de l’Everest à cause des nuages.
On retourne au lodge boire un thé.
Je suis ko mais il y encore 2h30 de marche (pour l'étape suivante).
La traversée du glacier est impressionnante!

Madame et les copains sont dans l'avion (une semaine après moi).
Il commence à neiger plein pot, inquiétant pour le col de demain.
Rien à faire, batteries du téléphone basses, pas assez de lumière pour lire, l'après-midi est long.
Et en plus il fait froid. Demain s'annonce dur et long avec le col.

Levé 4h30 pour un départ à 5h20.
Costaud, le Chola pass (5368m).
Surtout la montée qui tue (2h10). Comme il y a neigé, même avec les cordes fixes, c'est super glissant et il y a des embouteillages.

Regardez les vidéos en début de récit.
Peu de distance (6km) mais 8 heures de marche dont plus de deux heures d'ascension du col, dure journée!
Certains groupes étaient munis de crampons. Pas nous.
Le poids du sac et les embouteillages ont rendu l'ascension physique pour beaucoup de monde (j'ai même vu une japonaise se faire porter!)
Superbes paysages avec l'Everest en prime!

Arrivée vers 14h00 à Dzonghla (4830m).
Repos. Pas de soleil, pas de recharge.
Finalement je prends une carte Wifi à 20€ que je peux utiliser partout.
J'ai eu (ma nièce) au téléphone mais toujours pas (ma femme) (qui a du arriver à Katmandou).
Je dors habillé avec les 2 téléphones, les batteries...et la gourde!

Après 8 heures de marche, arrivée à Dzongla (4830m), notre étape du jour.

On monte au Kalapatthar (3h00 +) très belles vues sur les glaciers mais pas l'Everest!
